COSCO Pacific is committed to fulfilling our responsibilities as a corporate entity, focusing on environmental protection and community culture, and actively supporting and participating in public welfare activities, thereby helping to improve both the society and environment in which we are living.

In 2006, COSCO Pacific participated in the "Project CLEAN AIR" campaign co-organised by the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce and the Hong Kong Business Coalition on the Environment. The overall aim was to implement "CLEAN AIR Charter" in the business sector and to improve air quality in the Pearl River Delta Region.

In September 2007, COSCO Pacific became a member of the Business Environment Council in efforts to promote the sustainable development of the society, striking a balance among the benefits of economy, society and environment while maintaining a sharp competitive edge.
